For your next cook-out… Fiery Cheddar Cheese Nachos 1 large jalapeno, sliced 1 can evaporated milk 2 tsp cornstarch 2 cup shredded cheddar cheese tortilla chips Bake the jalapeno slices at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, then cool. Once cooled, chop the jalapeno pieces and set aside. Whisk together 1 tbs of evaporated milk and cornstarch, and set aside.
In a saucepan over medium heat, heat the rest of the evaporated milk, then add in the cheese and cornstarch mixture. Cook for 5 minutes, then stir in the chopped jalapeno. Pour over tortilla chips and top with extra jalapeno slices.
