Fels Naptha homemade laundry detergent

I actually have been using Spray’N’Wash, but don’t like to use those
chemicals on our clothes, so I’ve also just added a little extra
washing soda (diluted in water) to a load of stained/heavily soiled
clothes and that seems to work not too bad. I would appreciate any
other suggestions, though, so if anyone has any, please pass them
on. FYI, the stains I’m most concerned about are “little kid”
stains – food, grass, ground in dirt, etc.
