Fantastic French Onion Dip
2 tbs butter, unsalted
2 sweet onions, sliced thin
2 shallots, sliced thin
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups Greek yogurt
1 cup mayonnaise
2 cups sour cream
2 tbs parsley, ribboned
dash celery salt
dash Worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper, to taste
sliced scallions, for garnish
In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onions and saute for 15 minutes, or until they’ve caramelized. Add the shallots and saute for another 10 minutes.
They should all be dark brown and very sweet. Add the garlic and cook for 3 minutes or until the rawness is taken out.
Allow the mix to cool for 5 minutes and roughly chop the onion, shallot, and garlic mixture. Set aside and allow to fully cool.
In a bowl, combine the remaining ingredients.
Once the onions are cool, fold them in. Refrigerate at least 2 hours prior to serving. Garnish with scallions, if desired.
