You might try a tree trimming/cutting service for cheap firewood. There is one

near us (in Texas) that charges $50 for as much as can be piled onto a pickup

truck. It is primarily seasoned oak. The last load that we got was

approximately 3/4 of a cord and would have been more had we been willing to take

the time to load the bed a bit higher. We found the service listed in the

business want ads of the local (Dallas Morning News) paper.
