I have watched with interest this thread. I try to keep my house at 68 because iif I don’t my bedrrooms on the second floor rise to 80+ degrees I rent a 3 story 1/2 house which has a steam heat system. I cannto take it down to low as my arthritis really acts up. I don’t even have to put a heavyt quilt or comforter as my room gets so warm. There is so little air circulation I have to prop the door openwith a shoe to cool the room down. My heating bills are very high averaging around $500 during the winter months. Especially here in PA. Myelectric bill just went upto $90 even onbudget. I tried the budget plan on thenatural gas but they wanted me to pay $346 a month and there was no way I could afford that. Gail M. North East PA
