      >> I can go and get 10 of their new burritos for like 8 bucks. They have rice, meat and cheese in the soft tacos.<<< I can make 10 burritos with meat , cheese, onions, tomatoes, guacamole, sour cream& salsa forless than 8 dollars. I can make them for about half that price. The same is true for all the other 1.00 deals. It’s all in how you shop & cook. If you shop bargains & bulk ,you can get the ingredients a lot cheaper. If you cook from scratch( homemade tortillas etc), you will always come outpaying less than the fast food places ( even their super specials).
This does take more planning on the shopping end. No just running in the store and grabbing the ingredients for a single meal. Instead you have to always look for the best deal on all the things you buy. When I find a really good cheese sale, I buy up as much as I can get. Then I have bargain priced cheese on all my cheese dishes for a little while to come. Repeat this process with every food item that you can .
You can save as much as 50% on a lot of things by making them yourself. Things like tortillas, pie crust, rice-a-roni, pizza etc etc etc. The list goes on and on.
You always pay for convenience. If you can afford a little convenience , go for it. I’m in a tight spot and must get the very best deals out there.
