  I have a Sunbeam model that was purchased for $5 at a Goodwill shop an dit has never made hard bread. I actually just pulled it down from it's home at the top of my cabinet and my dd got super excited that I was making bread to make french toast! I often forget about it as it is “out sight, out of mind”!
