I agree of course about most eating out. BUT, take the dollar menu at McDonalds and now the dollar menu at Taco Bell, which is actually less. I can go and get 10 of their new burritos for like 8 bucks. They have rice, meat and cheese in the soft tacos. If I were to go and buy a bag of soft tacos, some hamburger, some kind of meltable cheese, rice etc… Bring it home, cook up the rice, fry up the hamburger, melt the cheese and put it all together, I’d spend about the same and end up with only maybe a little leftover cheese out of the whole mess of it. Plus I’d have to do all the work and since we have a Taco Bell only 2 blocks from our house, it’s a major temptation.

The same can be said about buying chicken patties, buns, lettuce, and making homemade fries when I can get 2 medium fries to share between us all and 3 of the chicken breaded select meals at Micky D’s to share between us all. For 12 dollars I can feed 2 adults and 5 or 6 kids.

Where things get really messed up is when I go there with the best of intentions and don’t buy the cheap things on the menu.
