Easy Beef And Bell Pepper Stir-Fry
1 lb top sirloin steaks, trimmed
ground black pepper
1 garlic clove, minced
3 tbs canola oil, divided
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 orange bell pepper, thinly sliced
1/2 red onion, thinly sliced lengthwise
1 tomato, roughly chopped
2 tbs chopped cilantro
1 tbs soy sauce
2 tsp sesame oil
Use salt and pepper to season the steaks to your preference.
Rub the minced garlic on one side of the steak. When finished, transfer the steaks between two sheets of plastic wrap. Take out a meat pounder and use it to beat the steaks until they are 1/4-inch thick.
Allow the steaks to rest for 10 minutes and then slice the steaks across the grain to create 1/2-inch wide strips. Take out a large skillet and heat two tbs oil over high heat. Add the onions and bell peppers and then cook and stir regularly for around two minutes, which is how long it should take for the vegetables to be just tender.
Transfer the vegetables into a bowl.
Heat one tbs oil in the skillet on high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the beef into the skillet. Begin to stir the beef when it becomes brown on one side.
The beef should be cooking for up to one minute. When finished, add the peppers, onions, tomatoes, cilantro, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Cook for 30 seconds while stirring regularly.
Remove from heat, season with salt and pepper according to your preference, and serve. Serves 4
