Double Chocolate Chews
4 tbs butter or margarine, softened
1 cup flour
4 tbs cream cheese
1/2 cup cocoa
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup brown sugar firmly packed
1/4 cup chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350º F. Spray 2 sheet pans with cooking spray. In a mixing bowl, cream together butter, cream cheese, sugar, and brown sugar.
Beat in vanilla. In another bowl, sift flour, cocoa, and salt through a strainer, and stir to combine. Blend dry ingredients into butter mixture.
Stir in chocolate chips. Divide dough into quarters and taking 1/8 of a quarter, roll it between palms of your hands to form a ball and place it on a sheet pan. Repeat to form 32 dough nuggets.
Using bottom of a glass, press nuggets into 2″ rounds. Bake for 8 min, until slightly puffed and very soft to touch. Let cool on pans for 1 min.
before transferring to racks to cool completely.

I feel the chocolate cravings coming on now – and I just happen to have all the ingredients. I will have to poke each one with a fork so the calories can escape!!!
