It seems to me that anytime you get any type of “help” paying your credit cards,
it is not a “good” thing in the eyes of the creditors. They want it their way
and don’t even consider anything else.
If you use it wisely and stop using the credit cards, it can be a great thing.
You get out of debt faster. You pay a lower interest rate (usually) and you pay
more towards the one bill, instead of spreading it out so much.
You can do the same thing on your own, but it takes discipline. You have to
stop using the credit cards if you ever intend to make headway. Pay as much as
you can on the debts. Stop using them.
