Subject: Re: Budget101.com : Does credit card consolidation really work?it does not do anything that you can not do yourself.make a list of your debts smallest to largest and just start attacking them.if you have lump sums you can pay–call a creditor and try to negotiate that if you pay xx number of dollars will they consider the account to be paid in full.if they say yes (and many will) get something in writing prior to sending them any money. do not let them bank draft your checking account under any circumstances.yes, it ruins your credit almost if not as bad as a bankruptcy.

Does credit card consolidation/debt reduction really work, and in a
positve way? Does it positively reflect on your credit report?
Are there really any reputatble companies with a positive working
program out there?
With so many companies advertizing on radio/TV it is difficult to know
if they are good and legit.
