      Hi Tracy!
My kiddos are dd, 12, ds 5, and dd, 3, and one on the way.
We don’t give our children allowances for the same reason. However, we do give them the option of earning a few dollars a week by choosing to do extra chores.
This way they learn that they cannot have anything they want, whenever, because our general response to the “I wants” is by telling them they can buy it with their money, when they have saved enough. We also are starting them on the principle of tithe a tenth, save a tenth.

      Then the rest is theirs.
I know there are some awesome free resources on the web, but I had to reboot our computer a few weeks ago and I lost EVERYTHING….not happy, but if I find some of the sites in my own search I will post them!
      Kristin
