      With Christmas so close I have seen a lot of recipes calling to use a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Do I really need it? Would it be just as effective to lightly grease the sheet instead?

      using parchment paper gives you less clean up and most of the time they are reausable.

      I like to use parchment paper for all my baking. It’s not a necessity, but it helps keep the baking sheets newer and keep from getting oil build up.

      I know this is late but… I have used greased brown paper. A “granny” trick I was taught a long time ago.

      Then I don’t have to worry about getting the parchment clean enough to store.
