Place a few of these wrapped in colorful cellophane along with a couple
nice coffee mugs, some coffee mixes (79 beverage mixes on our site!) and a
new Book. Makes a lovely, super easy gift basket under $10.
Double Chocolate Cherry Biscotti
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
2 T. unsweetened cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
6 T. unsalted butter
1 tsp. vanilla
3 lg. eggs
chopped dried cherries
Mix ingredients. Form three 10″ long logs, place 3″ apart on baking sheets.
Flatten slightly to width of 2 1/2″. Bake at 350F., 25 min.. Cool 10.
into 3/4 ” slices, bake 5 minutes each side.
Glaze: like 2 parts semisweet chocolate to 1 part butter – recipe says
guesstimate. Melt both together. Dip biscotti halfway into chocolate, rest
on waxed paper until glaze sets.
