I wanted to add something.
We recently bought a new house. The builder had used a flat paint thru the
whole house and the same color. I can’t stand flat paint.
I wanted to paint but I didn’t have the time or the money to do every room.I
bought 2 different colors of paint. One was a Satin paint and green for the
Master bathroom, I just painted 1 wall (like I said I don’t have a lot of spare
time). The other was semi gloss in a Vanilla Cream for the other bath and dining
room.So the color didn’t look the same I used 2 different painting techniques.
In the Dining Room I took a cheap feather duster and used it to paint the room.
In the bathroom I used tape and taped off stripes. I also put up a border in the
Kitchen so it looks different now.
Now I have 4 rooms that look completely different. The room I used the feather
duster in everyone thought it was faux pax.They were surprised when I said no
it is just a dollar feather duster.
