  For the average American digging out of debt can take a very very long time. That is one reason why debt should be avoided like the Black Plague.
  
  In the Financial Peace Course they kept reminding us not to expect the Microwave (fast) solution. This is a Crockpot (slow) process. Dave even says that himself on one of the videos.
