      It is so hard to be there for her when she is resentful to us. I bet you that he is the one who told her how bad we are and to stay away from us.

      So be it. Just remind her you will be there always for her – whatever she needs (just not monetary as long as she is with an abusive guy… but don’t tell her that).

      It is really hard (esp to keep your mouth shut about someone you don’t like ) I have seen lots of great advice here, esp about inviting them both to do things with your family. Keep negative things about him to yourself – it will push her away.
