1 cup light brown sugar 2 sticks butter 1 cup coconut 1 lb dates, chopped 4 cups Rice Krispies 2 cups nuts, chopped fine Powdered sugar
Combine first 4 ingredients in skillet, bring to a boil & cook for 5 minutes. (Do not overcook!) Remove from heat & pour rice krispies & nuts. Roll into small balls, then roll in powdered sugar.
We make these every year at Christmas time except we use black walnuts for the nuts and we roll them in coconut instead of powered sugar. We make lots of cookies but these vanish oh so quickly! Yum!
