Crockpot Garlic Pesto Chicken with Pasta in a Tomato Cream Sauce is very inexpensive and simple to make, serve it over fresh hot pasta or with a salad for a complete meal.
In a Crockpot, Dump the Following ingredients in the order given:
Stir it all up with a spoon.
Cook on low about 6 hours.
For the Sauce :
2 tablespoons of olive oil
2-3 cloves of chopped garlic
3 T of pesto
1/2 c of chicken broth
8 ounces of tomato sauce
1 c of half and half cream
2 Tbs Wondra flour
salt and pepper to taste
Heat the oil in a skillet, sauté the garlic, add pesto and chicken broth, reduce. Add tomato sauce and half & half, simmer, add pasta, add wondra flour to thicken if needed, season with salt and pepper.
If you want to make your own Make-Ahead oamc (once a month cooking) fill the freezer meal- combine the ingredients into two gallon sized ziplock bags or in a Vacuum Seal/ Food Saver Bag.
(the time might vary according to your brand of slow-cooker, some cook at slightly higher temps, so be aware of how long it normally takes for your cooker to work to avoid under or over-cooking your food!!)
always spray your crockpot with non-stick spray before starting out to make clean up easier or line it with Crockpot liners.
