This is family favorite that you CAN take camping! Prepare this ahead of time to finish while you set up camp
Creamy Tuna Noodle Casserole
8-oz cream cheese
1/3 cup milk, divided
1 tsp garlic powder
3 cups egg noodles, cooked
2 cans chunk light tuna in water, drained, flaked
1 cup frozen peas
4-oz can sliced mushrooms, undrained
1/3 cup crushed crackers
2 tbs grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbs butter, melted
Mix cream cheese, 2 tbs milk and garlic powder until blended. Combine noodles, tuna, peas, mushrooms and remaining milk in large bowl. Add cream cheese mixture. Mix lightly. Spoon into 1-1/2-qt. Dutch oven sprayed with cooking spray. Cover.
When you get to the campsite and get the fire going, place on fire for 40 min. Meanwhile, mix cracker crumbs, Parmesan and butter until blended.
Stir noodle mixture. Top with crumbs. Bake, uncovered, 10 min. or until heated thoroughly. If necessary, move to the edge of the fire until ready to serve;-D
