      Cream of vegetable soup w/homemade croutons, egg salad sandwiches

      o.oo – all leftover veggies (even just a spoon full w/ any broths)
      o.oo – homemade chicken broth
      0.21 – 1c milk
      0.06 – seasonings to taste

      0.00 – cubed bread (saved from various ends)
      0.29 – 1/2 stick real butter
      0.05 – desired seasonings(I use garlic,onion, pepper & parsley)

      0.50 – 6 eggs hardboiled
      0.10 – 1/2c mayo
      0.00 – 1T relish (free with coupon)
      0.01 – 1T minced onion
      0.02 – 1tsp minced garlic
      0.01 – s&p
      0.40 – 8 slices of white bread

      $1.65 dinner for 4 or about 41 cents per person.

      I keep a Ziploc bag in freezer to place any leftover veggies in. When it’s full,
      I thaw and place in pot with chicken broth, seasonings and boil until mushy.In
      small portions, I place in blender to puree. Be careful, very hot.

      I then place
      back in pot and add the milk, stirring until well blended. Top with croutons.
      serve with egg salad sandwiches.

      I keep a ziploc bag in the freezer to put the bread ends in until full. I then
      toss with melted butter and desired seasonings. I will wait until I am using the
      oven to bake them so I don’t use additional electric, lol.

      Again, I keep a ziploc in the freezer for the end pieces of celery, onions and
      carrots, etc.. I use these when making my homemade broths so I can use the
      whole veggies for eating.
