      Cranberry Chutney
      16-oz fresh cranberries
      3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
      1/2 cup raisins
      1/2 cup chopped celery
      1/2 cup chopped apples
      1/2 cup chopped pears
      1/2 cup water
      1/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
      2 tbs minced candied ginger
      2 tbs lemon juice
      1/4 tsp ground cloves
      1 tsp onion salt (optional)
      In large kettle, bring cranberries, brown sugar, raisins, celery, apples, pears, water, walnuts, ginger, lemon juice, cloves, and onion salt to a boil, stirring constantly. Simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Store in refrigerator. Will keep several weeks. Yield: 3 cups
