I am trying to find a copycat recipe for “Cow Chip Cookies”. They are sold by a place in Washington state. I have tried finding a recipe before with no luck. They are buttery, chewy chocolate chip cookies. I have not found a chocolate chip cookie that tastes the same.

Any help finding a recipe would be appreciated.

      You can try this one:

COW CHIP COOKIES FROM STICK’S DAIRY

      1 c. butter
      1 c. shortening
      2 c. brown sugar
      2 c. white sugar
      4 c. flour
      2 c. oatmeal
      1 c. pecans, chopped
      4 eggs
      2 tsp. soda
      2 tsp. vanilla
      16 oz. chocolate chips
      2 c. corn flakes
      2 tsp. baking powder

Cream butter, shortening and both sugars together. Add the eggs, vanilla. Add the flour, soda, baking powder. Stir in the oatmeal, corn flakes, chocolate chips and pecans. Put on cookie sheet with ice cream scoop. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Chewy cookies.

My recipe is a little different.

      Cow Pie Cookies

      1 apple, peeled and cored
      1/4 cup mixed berries
      2 eggs
      1 1/2 cups brown sugar
      1/3 cup water
      1 3/4 cups flour
      3 cups uncooked oatmeal
      1 tsp baking soda
      1 tsp baking powder
      1 tsp salt
      1/2 cup walnut pieces

      1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

      2. Mix dry ingredients together in a large bowl.

      3. In a food processor, blend fruit and water to an applesauce like texture. Add brown sugar and eggs and blend.

      4. Add wet mixture to dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. A small amount of water may be added if mixture is too dense.

      5. Grease a cookie sheet.

      6. Using a large spoon, plop a gob of cookie dough onto the cookie sheet. The messier the better! You should be able to fit 9 to 12 cookies on each sheet.

      7. Bake for 11 minutes, then turn cookies over and bake another 2 minutes.

Yes, it is. I love their cookies, but only get them about once a year. I wish I could make them at home so I can eat them whenever I get a craving for them
