Liss said: I am a little surprised that you aren’t more concerned about their reaction to this. If you printed a coupon from your home and went to the store to redeem it, how do you suppose you would react to being told they are contacting the police because you just participated in coupon fraud?Assuming that all you did was visit a Name Brand site and print one of the promotions listed right on their page. (People do get arrested atstores forcoupon fraud).

Kannette answered: I was as surprised at your extreme reaction.

As far as people getting arrested for coupon fraud, the only thing I have heard of is groups of people running counterfeit coupon rings.

I suppose my aggravation was more because I contacted the company directly prior to sending out this coupon to the list and they emailed me back stating it was good and legit, etc. Then they turned around and posted on a site that it was Fraudulent and didn’t have the kahoona’s to apologize for sending out emails stating it was fine to use.
Most coupon users go out of their way to make sure they are using coupons correctly and this type of thing frustrates people and also scares them.

Quite honestly, I wish companies would stop using coupons altogether and just lower their prices rather than resorting to sales tactics. since that will never happen…..

Here is an example of a Lady (Just a frugal homemaker) who learned the in’s and out’s of using coupons to her advantage- Got Arrested at the store and took her 2 years to clear her name:

      >>As far as doing business with moral and ethical companies, Wal-Mart had got to be themost unethical and immoral company in my opinion.<<

      Touché !

Good Point, and I still deal with them, mainly because they’re the cheapest to shop at & quite frankly, I’m on a budget here. lol.

Thank you Kannette for your response. It’s always nice to see different views of a situation.
