I was laid off in October, but wasn’t going to let that stop me from attending a Halloween party in style! I went to the Thrift Shop and paid $4.00 for a black dress which I cut off very short. Believe it or not, the same thrift shop had a $4.00 pair of old (and dusty) Doc Marten-style boots. I tore several holes in some old black tights I had and got a cheap pair of gloves and cut the fingers out. Then I went to the craft/fabric store and bought a 1″ strip of vinyl that had metal holes in it. I used safety pins in the back to attach and put little safety pins in the bottom holes in front, dangling down like charms. To top off my look, I applied some press-on tattoos, black nail polish, gobs of eye makeup and teased my hair like it hadn’t been teased since 1987!
