I hadn’t thought of the wet fabric on a fan! That’s a good idea, thanks for sharing.

Subject: Re: Budget101.com : Cool entertainment for little kids?Get out the water guns, or even spray bottles. Fill with
water. Now, your daughter and any friends, or even Mom, can have fun
and still stay cooler outside. My neighbor does not approve of gun
toys, but had no problem with her sons using water bottles with pump
spray tops to squirt each other. They were 7 and 8 before they had
their first “water fight” and they had a lot of fun.Would you have a way to have a fan blowing on your daughter while she
is napping? If so, would it be possible to hang a damp towel so the
air goes along the towel? In my mind, I’m seeing a towel hung across
a snack tray stand, with the fan blowing underneath. Anyway, this is
a way to water cool the air. We actually have fans that pull the air
through scissile mats set in the sides of the fans, and are called
“swamp coolers”. The damp towel can do the same thing. You might
even be able to have a damp piece of cloth, thin
cloth, on the back
of the fan and get the same effect. This will dry quickly and will
have to be dampened quite often.Ann in Arkansas
