We never did it with milk, but we did the same thing with juice bottles and water with my boys. My kids doc. said the same thing as yours so when my mom would bundle him up in blankets in the heat I would strip his little hiney down to the diaper. lol

infant/toddler and we lived in Orando. The night before we were going
out (Disney, Sea World, beach, a friends…) I would prepare her
bottles and then freeze them! When it is triple digits the last thing
you want to drink is “room temperature” so why would a little one want
it? I froze her water, juices, formula, we had no air conditioning
in the truck so she would sweat and sweat in the fierce heat. Once I
was concerned about her being comfortable temperature wise and the
doctor said whatever I was comfortable in she would be too and I never
had any issues with her after following that advice.HTH,
