(My dogs love peanut butter, as you will see from my dog treat posts!)
I bought a dog bone shaped cookie cutter several years ago, which is lots of fun, but any cookie cutter will do, and so will a biscuit cutter.
Peanut Butter Cookies for Dogs
2 cups whole wheat flour (or, a gluten-free blend if your dog is sensitive like mine…any GF blend will do)
1 cup wheat germ (or an extra 1/2 cup gf blend and 1/2 cup coarsely blended GF rolled oats)
1 cup natural peanut butter
1 egg
1/4 cup canola oil
1/2 cup waterHeat oven to 350.
Combine dry ingredients, then add in wet. Roll to 1/2″ thickness on floured surface. Cut desired shapes (or you can make into small squares like a popular brand of dog treats).Place on ungreased sheets and bake for 15 – 25 minutes depending on size.
I flip mine over 1/2 way through to make them crunchier.
Store these in the fridge.

Thanks for this recipe. My dog loves peanut butter also. If I get the jar of peanut butter out he is usually right there.

Thanks so much, my two dogs love peanut butter snacks, and I know that it would be much cheaper to make them myself. Also, more nutricious for them.
