I made this in a loaf pan and mixed blueberries with the streusel for the Honor Roll breakfast today. The kids went nuts and ate all of it! lol!

there were two other breakfast breads, fruit, and juice and mine was the only one completely consumed! lol! good!

i didn’t need to bring anything home;-) anyway, the purpose of sharing is to tell you to experiment with berries and/or nuts and bake it as a loaf. just increase your baking time to 45 minutes to an hour. I baked this in a pretty holiday pottery pan and it took an hour and a half, but a regular metal pan should only take the time I mentioned.

here’s a semi-weird question.. would could i use instead of cinnamon? ground cloves and ginger?

      i’m allergic to cinnamon.

Might try nutmeg or allspice but only use about 1/4 of what is called for.
That would be very hard for me to be allergic to cinnamon, I really like the flavor and smell of it. Good luck.

Wilbe’s suggestions are good, but I would add cardamom or cloves to the list. Or you could try a blend of cloves and… and definitely use less the first time you make it.
