      Cocoa Butter Hand Cream

      Combine the following in a glass or enamel pan

      1 1/2 cups glycerin
      1/2 ounce cocoa butter
      1 cup stearic acid

      Melt over low heat.

      Remove from heat and add:

      1/2 ounce spirits of ammonia

      Stir until milky.

      Combine:
      1/2 teaspoon boric acid
      2 cups warm water

      Add to first mixture. Mix with beater for 10 minutes at high speed. Perfume and color as desired.

      Age for 2 weeks before using.

      where can I find boric and stearic acid? what are spirits of ammonia? what can you use to add fragrance?

      Boric acid is found in the Pharmacy aisle at your local big box store, usually near the peroxide. You can get it online here: Amazon.com

      Cocoa butter has a pretty rich scent on its own and few essential oils will blend with it but you could try Lavender EO. The use of Fragrance oils is NOT recommended, use Essential oils- must less chance of skin reactions/allergies.
