1 cup plain bread crumbs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon sugar
dash oregano
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Makes 1 cup.
This is excellent for baking (or frying) chix, fish, pork, etc.
Here’s a fast easy dinner idea: roll some chicken in an egg, dip
into the bread crumbs, layer in the bottom of a 9×13 dish, pour a can
of chopped tomatoes over the top, bake 15 min at 350, remove from
oven, top with some mozarella and sprinkle with 1/2 tsp basil, return
to oven until cheese is melted. ( I generally use boneless skinless
chix breast for this, but if you use chix with bones, be sure to
adjust cooking time).
