Not bed bugs, but dust mites. Bed bugs don’t often live in the bedding, but in the stitching & piping around the edges of the mattress, inside the box spring, in the bed frame, headboards & footboards & anywhere else they can find a dark place to hide. Dust mites, on the other hand, apparently like the moisture left after the bed has been slept in, according to an article I read. I recently saw a list of household chores from the late 1800’s or early 1900’s & one of the items listed was turning back the bedclothes & airing the bed for a while before making it. Seem they were a lot smarter about some things than we are!
