Here’s an easy way to make Cinnamon pumpkins, these smell delightful for several Years!
Image by JoAnne AdrianDirections (saw on Pinterest):
1 cup cinnamon
2/3 cup cheap applesauce
1 teaspoon nutmeg or apple pie spice
2 tablespoons elmers glueMix together and knead until smooth. Break in chunks for whatever size you want to make. Roll in ball like a meatball till smooth.
Use flat side of butter knife to make the curved lines in the pumpkin. Gently flatten a tiny bit. Add twig or grapevine for stem.
Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon on top of pumpkin.Bake on parchment paper lined cookie sheet at 150 for 45 minutes. Then let air dry for 3 days.
I got 6 small from one batch, 3 medium from one batch and 2 large from one batch. I am thinking of making one large one and them maybe a bunch of little ones and painting them.
I also added a tiny bit more applesauce until the dough was a little more moist because I had a hard time working with the really dry dough. They would be really cute packaged in some cellophane with a raffia bow, or in a wooden bowl on someones desk at work!
