ok, I can preface this by saying, I never go out to eat. many years ago I went to taco bell and they had these crunchy cinnamon tings. I wish I could remember the name of them.
they were really good. I would love to make these at home.
does anyone know what I am talking about? and how do you make them?Thank you.

The crunchy thingy is called a churro or also known as a Mexican cruller. Here is a recipe from food network: Churros Recipe : : Recipes : Food Network

They are called cinnamon twists and I have been told they simply fry spiral pasta and shake the puffs in cinnamon sugar. Didn’t say if the pasta is cooked first or just dry fried. Anyone know? - April 14, 2013 at 12:28 pm #438984

that is it, thank you guys for figuring out what I was thinking about. getting old is really bad because the mind is always the first to go. 🙂
it would be easy to try and fry a cooked pasta and a non-cooked pasta and see how they turned out.
of course only I would actually be the one to try that idea. LOL! - April 14, 2013 at 12:34 pm #438985

The Cinnamon Twists are nothing more than uncooked spiral pasta that are fried. Once you remove them from the oil, put them in a clean trash bag with cinnamon and sugar and gently mix. The amount of cinnamon and sugar is up to you.
