Christmas Party Mix with Santa Hats
Christmas Party Mix
You Need
3 cups Wheat Chex cereal
3 cups Rice Chex cereal
2 1/2 cups Cheerios cereal (plain, regular)
3 cups broken mini pretzel twists
2 cups unsalted dry roasted peanuts
2 cups Bugles snack chips
8 – 10 miniature Reese’s peanut butter cups
3/4 cup red and green M&M’s candy
1 (24 oz) block of white almond bark
Extra red and green M&M’s for garnish, optionalLine 2 large baking sheets with parchment paperCombine first 8 ingredients; then divide the mixture and spread out on two large jellyroll pans.
Melt half of the almond bark in the microwave or over a double boiler. Drizzle the melted candy over one pan of the mixture then use a spatula to keep turning it over and over until the mixture is coated well. Spread mixture out on one sheet of the parchment.
Melt the remaining half of almond bark and repeat to coat the rest of the cereal mixture.Adapted using what I had on hand from Chex Christmas Party Mix
Allow about 2 hours for the candy to harden before breaking into pieces. Transfer mixture to a serving dish then garnish with extra M&M’s and Santa Hats, if desired.
Santa Hats:
The Santa hats are just Bugles snack chips dipped in red candy melts. To form the hat brim, dip the bugle in tiny white nonpareils then topped with a mini marshmallow.Attachments:
