JoAnn – This recipe starts out “Preheat oven to 350” then later on it says lower to 350. Should the second temp be 325 maybe? Sounds good and really easy.

Jo Ann,
Hope you can explain the temperature question soon! I looked online but couldn’t find this recipe and none of the others came close to it. Does it start at 425 than get turned down to 350 or does it start at 350 and then gt turned down to 325? - May 30, 2009 at 3:53 am #422180
I tried this recipe starting at 350, then going down to 325. It is more dark brown than golden brown as the chocolate chips rise to the top. It needs a pie ring or foil over the edges of the crust or it will become too brown.
It is very similar to a pecan pie. In fact, I think I’ll add some pecans with the chips next time. Used semi-sweet chips and it’s very rich but very good.
