This is my favorite brittle. I loved peanut brittle, but find that this is even better for the chocoholic!
Saltine Crackers
1 c butter
3/4 c brown sugar
12 oz semi sweet chocolate chipspreheat oven to 400. line cookie sheet with tin foil and spray lightly with pan spray. line that with one layer of saltines. boil butter and sugar for 3 minutes stirring constantly. pour butter/sugar mixture over crackers. make sure it goes over all of the crackers. spread to even out. bake for 5 minutes. take out of oven and immediately pour the chocolate chips over the hot crackers. wait until the chocolate is melting, then spread with a spatula or butter knife so taht all of the crackers are covered in chocolate. freeze til hard. then crack like you would peanut brittle. store in freezer in a freezer bag.
enjoy!!! we make this every year for christmas when we make the christmas cookies and candy!
