1 cup whole-wheat flour
1/2 cup chopped dates
1/3 cup plus 1 tbs unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp grated orange peel
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup skim milk or soymilk
2 tbs vegetable oil
1/4 cup honey
1 tsp vanilla
1. Preheat oven to 375°. Combine dry ingredients in medium mixing bowl.

Make well in center and add remaining ingredients. Stir with a fork just until blended.
3. Spray muffin cups with vegetable cooking spray.
Spoon batter into prepared muffin cups to about 2/3 full. Bake for 15 min, or until top springs back when lightly touched. Makes 9 muffins = 154 calorieschoco-date muffins
