Everyone is elgible for the Child Tax credit as it no longer as anything to

do with income levels if your child is 17 or under.

The Earned Income Credit is based on income.

You should still get the credit if you claim the child on your taxes. My

husband and I did our joint and claimed our son but we did not qualify for

the child tax credit. But we did get the Earned income credit. They are

different but from what I could see its just if you claim the child on your

taxes then you get the credit on the stimulus. Here is a link that also

will show how much and when you will get the tax stimulus the thing with

this is if it gives you an error then they have not processed yours yet. The

first time I did it I got an error then I tried again a week later and it

gave me all the info. https://sa1.www4.irs.gov/irfof/irservlet?app=iractc

think its two seprate things,as it is listed on the brake down on my taxes

as: child tax credit and it is left blank and then on the earned income

credit it says the dollar amount. When i went to see how much id get back

more or less from irs,I put in 0 in the child tax credit space as it is on

my brakedown.I am so confuzed about this. So I don’t know how much I get

      guess I’ll wait and see.

      You will get it.

Child tax YOU claim on your tax return-the child must be under 23 years of

      age.

The Earned Income Credit is an additional credit you can take if your

household income is under a certain amount.

      Hope this helps!

On the stimulis checks you can get a 300.00 additonal pay if you have a

child tax credit. I was under the impression the Earned income credit

and the child tax credit was the same thing.Today I found out that its

not…Can some one tell me the diffrence?I filed for the Earned income

credit so I won’t get the additional 300.00.
