Chicken Chow Mein
2 medium sized Green Peppers, cut into strips
1 1/2 cup diced Celery
2 Tablespoons Butter
2 cups Chicken Broth
2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
1 1/2 dry Onion Soup Mix
2 cups diced cooked Chicken
1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
8 ounces Water Chestnuts, drained and sliced thin
2 ounces Mushrooms
2 1/2 cups bean sprouts
6 ounces Chinese Noodles
1/2 cup toasted slivered Almonds
Put butter in skillet and cook peppers and celery until just tender (about 10 minutes.) Combine chicken broth with cornstarch and onion soup mix. Add to skillet and cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Add chicken and simmer 10 minutes. Add soy sauce, water chestnuts, mushrooms, and bean sprouts. Heat through. Serve over hot crispy noodles. Top with almonds.

My granddaughter will love this recipe.
