Chewy Granola Bars
a.. 1 cup brown sugar, packed
b.. 1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
d.. 2 tablespoons honey
e.. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
g.. 1 cup all-purpose flour
h.. 1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
j.. 1/4 teaspoon salt
k.. 1 1/2 cups quick cooking rolled oats
1 1/4 cups crispy rice cereal
m.. 1 cup chopped pecans or other nuts
n.. 1 cup chocolate chips or raisins
1/3 cup toasted wheat germ
Grease a microwave baking dish about 12- X 8-inches. In large bowl, cream sugars
with buter until light. Beat in honey, vanilla, and egg; blend well.
blend in flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt, beating at low speed of
electric mixer. Fold in remaining ingredients with a spoon; press firmly into
the prepared baking dish.
Microwave on MEDIUM (50%) for 7 to 9 minutes or until set. Rotate dish 1/2 turn
every 3 minutes.

my family is pretty much meat potatoes and plain garden salad, so I am not sure how much I would have to add, but if I come across something worthwhile I will gladly post
