3 cans whole or cut green beans 1.50 (.50 can Walmart)
1 medium onion about .30(2.995lbWalmart)
½ of 2.5 oz. bag RealBacon Pieces .99 (1.98 Walmart)
2 medium potatoes .50(2.49 3lb Walmart)
1 tbl. Cooking oil
Salt and Pepper
In a 2 quart saucepan add 1 tbl oil sauté chopped onion and bacon pieces, just enough to give onions the bacon flavor, remove from stove. Drain green beans and rinse add tosauce pan. Peel and cut up potatoes to about 1 ½ inch pieces and add to green beans, fill pan just enough to cover green beans and potatoes, salt and pepperto taste. Return to stove and cook on medium high till potatoes are tender.This usually takes 20 to 30 minutes.
This is great if youdon’t have fresh green beans and potatoes out of the garden. I took this to a potluck and they thought they came out of our garden.
This makes a meal for us for less than $5.00 serve with a side salad.
