I like using my microwave to make bagel chips, wonton chips, pita chips,
potato chips, tortilla chips and popcorn (in a microwave popcorn cooker) –
all are relatively low fat. Homemade hummus with pita bread wedges are a
tasty change too. I found that if fresh fruit and vegetables are washed,
      prepared (ie.

peeled &/or cut into manageable pieces) and easily accessable
they are more likely to be grabbed. Salt free pretzels are also a
convenient snack to munch on when you want something with a crunch.
