Hi – someone mentioned pay phones..haha. I live by Wisconsin Dells
which is a HUGE tourist town, only 2500 people live there but over 3
million visit in the summer.
Well, the other day my husband and I went to the Dells and I saw a
real payphone! I laughed and asked him – “did you see that?’ It wasnt
that long ago that pay phones were on every corner and now I seen one
and it was a shock.
Also, I have an 11 yr old, live in the “sticks” and no way would I
allow her to get a cell phone. Her friends have them but not her and
if she needs to get ahold of me I have one and a landline. I know
where she is at all times and she needs to check in, I also know the
place she will be and have the #’s for those places.
We have a neighbor about a mile down who is 13 and calls our house on
her cell….its local…and wants to talk…ummm no.
I tell her call on her house phone. Its a local call from a landline.
