Cell phone for a 10 yr old???

I changed my mind approx. 2 years ago. I live not 5 miles from where a scumbag piece of garbage took a 9 yo girl out of her home, told her he was taking her to her daddy who was at a friends house, held her captive for 2-4 days – no one is sure, raped, tortured, then buried her alive.

My daughter knows that I would call her on her cell phone if someone else was going to pick her up. and that she can call me to verify at any time of the day or night.

i also firmly believe that these people will target women and kids that don’t have cell phones because they are in less contact, just my opinion but it is how i feel.
