We got my daughter a cell phone for her 13th birthday. ALL of her friends had one before she did. I don’t think a 10 yr old needs a cell phone (shouldn’t, anyway).
Cell phones in my book are for calling mom and dad when a ride is needed, or there is a problem where she is. One of the girls in her “group” (who is not a close friend) had a cell phone when she was 11, and I didn’t think that was necessary either. Lyn in Indiana
