This non-alcoholic version of the old European wintertime beverage uses pomegranate, apple and orange juices, flavored with whole spices.
6 slices from 2 blood oranges, with peel on 2 dozen whole cloves 3 cups pomegranate juice 3 cups clear apple juice 3 cups orange juice, without pulp 6 cinnamon sticks
Insert 4 cloves in each orange slice and set aside. Combine pomegranate juice, apple juice, orange juice and cinnamon sticks in a large pot over medium heat. Allow to become steaming hot, but do NOT boil.
Float clove-studded orange slices on top. Ladle into mugs. Serve immediately.
