My folks were very heavy supports of 4-H kids and their raising of animals.
My parents were living on a farm and my Dad raised both Hereford cattle and
pigs. But, my mother particularly loved to eat lamb. They always went to the
4-H auction and bought one of them at the auction.But, my Mom, kind of had a
bad experience one day. The little girl that had raised the lamb was standing
right there and as soon as they purchased the lamb, Mom turned to her, without
thinking of what she was saying, and said “We really are going to enjoy your
lamb.” The little girl started bawling and My Mom felt so awful.She really
watched what she said the next year.Nadine
