      Make your own buttermilk!

      1 cup of milk (must be at least 2% or there’s not enough fat to react)
      2 tablespoons lemon juice.

      Mix, cover, and let sit 10 minutes, then it’s ready for use

      You can use vinegar in place of lemon juice

      I am not good at cooking and don’t like lemon juice ,What should I do for my own buttermilk ?

      As the poster above you mentioned, you can use vinegar in place of lemon juice.

      Thank you ! If have to choose one of the two spices,I will choose lemon juice, vinegar is unbearable.

      How long will this keep with storing it in the refrigerator?

      This explained so much to me! Allergic to milk so I was using coconut milk or almond milk and it sure doesn’t work to make Buttermilk out of it!
